What a difference a storm makes · Jan 10, 01:22 PM

Since we couldn’t go eagle watching, we went to our favorite hiking trail instead – Anti-Aircraft Peak. The forest there definitely showed signs of enduring over a foot of snow followed by torrential rains. All of the ferns and undergrowth were smushed – the poor ferns looked quite sad. There were streams and rivers everywhere. The amount of water working its way downhill was pretty amazing.
