Fog and Quiet · Jan 20, 02:50 PM

Today never quite un-fogged…
We had about half an hour of patchy blue behind the clouds, and that was our daylight.
But, it was a really interesting day!
The fog made it slightly eerie all day long, which was a lot of fun.
In a lot of literature (especially Celtic literature) fog is often symbolic of transition, so it was very apropos for today!
Some quite fun pictures (that still don’t quite capture the amazingness of the fog) follow.

In other fun news, Jonathan recently bought a solid state harddrive (that is, one that doesn’t have any moving parts (eg, no spinning platter—just memory, like a flash drive) so its totally quiet) for the Apple Cube that we have read us audiobooks at night (a habit we’ve taken with us from New York) and now it’s what the Cube should have been all along.
Quiet.
Like, completely quiet!
It is really kind of eerie pushing the power button and….nothing! (we don’t have a monitor on it, so there’s really no immediate indication that it’s on)

Wheeeeee!
