After pushing his yellow truck so hard that it crashed into the blue and white police…thing, the cop looked up, tidied his slightly mussed hair, and noticed that there was a bad-looking-guy near by! How did he know he was a bad guy? Easy! He was wearing red instead of blue, so obviously, anyone not … Continue reading “2020 Day 5 – The Man in Red”
Our…special cop was so confused by the blue and white that he didn’t spend long poking at it, and when he looked up, there was a yellow truck! So he decided he should get behind it and have fun! In whatever way grown men have in getting right behind things and pushing. Hopefully the picture … Continue reading “2020 Day 4 – A truck!”
While our aspirational cop was taking apart his toy boat, suddenly a random white and blue police thingy appeared! He dropped his wrench and dashed over to look at it! Not being terribly bright, he was completely flummoxed by absolutely everything he saw there because honestly, it made no sense to even regular people!
Day two brings us something we seldom get in Advent calendars – aspirations! Here we have Duke Detain holding a wrench next to this -ahem- toy boat. We took advantage and took Penelope to Lake Padden for walkies, and on some of the off leash trails we got some amazing vistas of light coming through the trees. But of course, the most important part was Penelope posing! … Continue reading “Late fall at Lake Padden”

We love going for our traditional Christmas day hike, and this year we found a lovely trail called Horseshoe Bend, near Mt Baker along the Nooksack River (by the way, did we mention that we moved to Bellingham, WA this year? So yeah, we’re close to Mt. Baker now). It was a really lovely hike … Continue reading “Christmas day hike 2017”
Penelope turned one year old today! So, to celebrate, here are a bunch of pictures of her over the past year. She has been an amazing puppy: easy to train, eager to please, incredibly affectionate and sweet, and (as you can see in the pictures) perpetually happy. We are very lucky to have her!
